Frequently asked
If the answer is not here, email framatics.us@gmail.com or use the contact form. A real person reads them.
The store is a prototype: it is not trading, nothing on it is licensed, and no payment can be taken through it. Answers below describe how the store is intended to work. Terms and Conditions Section 1 has the detail.
Ordering
How do I order?
Pick a print, choose a type (Poster, Classic Frame or Gallery Collection), choose a size, and add it to your bag. Quick Buy on any product card does the same thing without leaving the page you are on.
You will get a confirmation email with an order number starting FR. Keep it, because that number is what the Order Status page and every support request runs on.
No account is needed to order. An account earns points, saves your teams and gives free shipping, but you can check out without one.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, if production has not started. Email framatics.us@gmail.com with your order number as soon as you can.
Everything is made to order, so once a piece is printed we cannot un-print it, and a framed piece is cut to that print. After that point the 30-day money-back guarantee is the route instead, and it covers you either way.
Address corrections are worth sending immediately. Before dispatch we can simply change it; after dispatch it becomes a carrier redirect, which is slower and sometimes impossible.
Can I order a championship that is not on the site?
Ask. Email framatics.us@gmail.com with the team, the year and the moment, and if we can license the page we will tell you what it would take.
The limit is almost never the printing. It is whether the publication and, where a school's marks appear, the licensing office will agree to it. That is the whole reason this store is still a prototype.
Do you take custom or bulk orders?
Bulk orders yes, for example a full championship set for a bar, an office or a locker room. Email framatics.us@gmail.com with roughly what you want and we will quote it and give you a realistic timeline. Larger runs need longer in production.
Custom work, meaning a page we do not already carry, depends entirely on licensing. See the answer above.
Shipping
How long does it take?
Posters are usually produced and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Framed pieces take 3 to 5 business days. Then add carrier transit: 3 to 7 business days for the contiguous 48 states, longer for Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
Full detail, including what slows it down, is on the Shipping and Returns page.
How do I track my order?
A tracking number is emailed to you as soon as the order leaves us. You can also look it up on the Order Status page with your order number and the email you used at checkout.
Tracking only appears once the order has shipped. Before that, the Order Status page shows where the piece is in production.
Is shipping free?
It is free on every order for Framatics Family members, and joining is free. For everyone else it is charged at checkout based on the size and weight of the piece.
The rewards programme is not running yet. The Loyalty Rewards Terms and Conditions explain exactly what is and is not live.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We ship within the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
If you are outside the US, email framatics.us@gmail.com and say where you are. That is genuinely how we will decide where to open next.
Sizing
What sizes are available?
Sizes are the image dimensions of the print, in inches, and they differ by type:
- Poster: 11x17, 20x30, 24x36, 40x60
- Classic Frame: 11x17, 20x30, 24x36
- Gallery Collection: 20x28
A framed piece measures larger than its print size once the mat and frame are added, so leave room on the wall.
How do I choose a size?
Measure the wall first, not the print. The common mistake is buying to the size of the paper rather than to the space it has to hold.
- 11x17 works on a desk, a shelf, or in a group of several pieces. It is small on its own on a large wall.
- 20x30 is the size most people want. It reads from across a room and fits above a desk, a console or a bed.
- 24x36 is a statement above a sofa or a bed, and wants about six feet of clear wall.
- 40x60 is a feature wall. Check the wall and the doorway it has to come through first.
The Size Guide on any product page shows each size against a room. If you are between two, take the larger one. Nobody has ever regretted that; plenty of people regret the opposite.
What is the difference between the three types?
Poster is the print on its own, rolled in a tube, ready for a frame you already own or one you pick yourself.
Classic Frame is the print with a single mat and protective plexiglass in a solid black hardwood frame, assembled and ready to hang.
Gallery Collection is the heavier build: a thicker black hardwood frame, double matting and reinforced plexiglass. It is the version that reads as a gallery piece rather than a poster in a frame.
Framing & Materials
What are the prints made of?
Archival pigment inks on heavyweight, acid-free glossy paper. Colours are calibrated so the print looks like the page did, not like a photocopy of it.
Acid-free is the part that matters in ten years. Acidic board is what turns a print yellow and brittle, and it is the cheapest corner to cut in framing, so we do not cut it.
What is the frame made of?
Solid black hardwood, with acid-free backing and protective plexiglass. The Gallery Collection uses a thicker profile, double matting and heavy-duty reinforced plexiglass.
Plexiglass rather than glass is deliberate. Glass is marginally clearer and dramatically more likely to arrive in pieces, and a shattered sheet takes the print with it.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Framed pieces ship fully assembled with hanging hardware already fitted. There is no assembly and no trip to a frame shop.
Posters ship rolled in a rigid tube, because a folded print keeps the crease for life.
Glossy or matte?
Prints are produced on a glossy stock, which is what holds the density in newsprint blacks and keeps team colours from going flat.
Under glazing the difference is smaller than people expect, because the plexiglass sets the surface. The one thing worth knowing is that a glossy surface picks up reflections, so avoid hanging directly opposite a window or a lamp.
How do I look after it?
Dust the glazing with a dry microfibre cloth. If you need more, put a little plain water or a plexiglass-safe cleaner on the cloth rather than spraying the piece, so nothing runs into the mat.
Do not use ammonia or a standard household glass cleaner on plexiglass. It clouds and crazes the surface permanently, and that damage is not a defect we can replace.
Hang it out of direct sunlight. Everything printed fades in direct sun eventually, and that one is on the wall, not the print.
Returns & Guarantee
What is your return policy?
Thirty days from delivery for a full refund, if the piece comes back in its original condition. The piece has to be returned before the refund is issued.
Start it with the contact form using the Return or Refund request type, or email framatics.us@gmail.com. We send a return label; do not post anything back before you have one.
The Shipping and Returns page has the conditions in full, including who pays return postage.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, and it is separate from the 30 days. The lifetime craftsmanship guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own the piece: a frame joint that opens, a mount that lifts, glazing that was not seated properly.
It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or fading from direct sunlight. Thirty days is for changing your mind. The lifetime guarantee is for us being wrong.
My piece arrived damaged. What do I do?
Email framatics.us@gmail.com with your order number and two photographs: the damage, and the outer packaging as it arrived. The packaging photo is what tells us whether the carrier crushed it or we sent it out wrong.
We replace damaged pieces. You do not need to send the damaged one back first, and it does not count against your 30 days.
Rewards
What is the Framatics Family?
A free rewards programme: points on what you spend, free shipping on every order, saved teams so the store leads with yours, and early access to releases.
It is not running yet. No account holds points and no benefit can be claimed. Every figure on the rewards pages is illustrative and the Loyalty Rewards Terms and Conditions say so in Section 1.
Why can I not redeem my points?
Because the programme is not live, so there are no points to redeem. Any balance shown anywhere on the store is sample data placed there to demonstrate the interface, exactly as Terms and Conditions Section 6 says.
When it does launch, points will be redeemed at checkout while signed in to the enrolled account, and offers will not stack, so the best single discount applies to an order.
Authenticity
Are these real newspaper pages?
Yes. Every print begins with the actual front page that ran the morning after, reformatted to the print size and colour-corrected, not redrawn or reimagined. The masthead, the headline and the date are the page as it was printed.
That is the whole point. A highlight reel is a montage; the front page is a record, printed and dated by someone who was there.
Are they licensed?
Not today. The store is a prototype and nothing on it is licensed. Every team name, school name, logo, colourway, masthead and front page shown is there to demonstrate what a finished, properly licensed product would look like. Terms and Conditions Section 1 states this in full.
The intent is to license every page at source, from the publisher and, where a school's marks appear, from its licensing office. That is why the store is not trading yet.
If you hold rights in something shown here and want it removed, Terms and Conditions Section 3 sets out how, and our default is to take it down rather than argue.
Do you pay the newsroom?
That is the commitment: a share of the price of every print goes to the newsroom that covered the run, and to the students where the page came from student media. Credit on the piece names the publication and, where the byline is known, the journalists.
We are not publishing a percentage yet, because no agreement is signed and a number with nothing behind it is marketing. The Social Responsibility page says what is and is not true today.
Still stuck? The contact form routes your question by type, which gets it to the right place faster than a plain email.
